Enrolments at Ravenswood
for Day Girls and Boarding

Ravenswood is a school with over one hundred years’ experience in educating girls. We are passionate about providing girls’ education which aims to encourage each girl to be the best she can be by developing her own individual potential and promoting the attainment of academic achievement.
Ravenswood offers wide ranging educational opportunities for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. We are committed to expanding students’ horizons by providing academic challenge, extensive curricular and co-curricular programmes and community experiences at home and internationally.
Entry Years are Kindergarten, Years 3, 5, 7, 10 and 11. Places in other Years depend on vacancies occurring. Junior School (Kindergarten to Year 6) has approximately 320 students allowing for focussed attention. The Middle School (Years 7 to 9) and Senior School (Years 10 to 12) has approximately 800 students who enjoy a wide choice of studies and experiences combined with a tutor system focussing on pastoral care.
Prospective parents and students are encouraged to visit and discuss their educational needs and interests with Nataleigh Bernal, Registrar. Regular tours are conducted at the school and Information Days are held each year.
To better inform you about what Ravenswood has to offer we encourage you to request a Prospectus package and book into a tour or Information morning online (see Visit Ravenswood).

In our boarding house the individuality of each girl is respected as she is encouraged to bring personal items from home to make her area her own.
Today, not all our boarders spend the full week, term or year living at the school. Weekly boarders can go home for weekends and day girls may board temporarily for a variety of reasons.
A feature of the Boarding House is the diverse nature of the students. Girls come from the country, interstate, overseas and the city creating an excellent opportunity for them to appreciate and understand the different views and aspirations of each other. Firm friendships are forged and qualities of independence, a sense of fair play and respect for others are developed.
All meals are freshly prepared in the boarding house, under the supervision of a professional chef and the Boarders have a Food Committee through which they liaise for meals of a style and content they prefer. Students also have the facilities to prepare snacks for themselves.
We are family
A resident Boarding Supervisor lives in the boarding house and there is a well equipped Health Care Unit within the school with a trained nurse in charge.
The Boarding House features 'Parents' Corner' next door to accommodate visiting parents for short term stays.
Pastoral care and guidance for boarders and their families are prime concerns of every member of the Boarding School staff. The Director Boarding, Boarding Supervisors and Boarding Tutors all do their utmost to ensure every girl's experiences at Ravenswood are happy and rewarding. Advice and help are readily available at all times.
Prep tutors supervise Prep and are available to assist each girl with her homework and study programmes. The girls have access to the School computer network for internet research and other technologies that allow for the best presentation of their work.
The Ravenswood Boarder Support Scheme assists boarders and their families. The school organises a suitable match between a boarder and a Day Girl Boarder Support Family. The families assist when parents are unable to be there themselves, e.g. attending special appointments, having some family time, providing a safe, family environment for some leave periods, and in so many other ways.
