Full Fee Paying Overseas Students
Ravenswood is registered to accept a limited number of Overseas Students for Years 7 to 12. An overseas student is a girl who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident or a refugee.
The school does not receive government subsidies for overseas students so they must pay full fees according to a government approved scale.
Overseas students will be required to show evidence of their English competency so that they may pursue their studies satisfactorily. Ravenswood does not offer an ESL course for students with limited English language skills.
The school needs to be assured that overseas students have suitable adult support. Overseas students are usually required to live in the school’s Boarding House, with a close relative or appropriate homestay arrangement. All overseas students must have a guardian or member of their family living in the country who can speak English.
If a student is accepted for enrolment, government regulations require that medical insurance be arranged and paid. Initial fees, including a bond, are required by the school before an official Confirmation of Enrolment Certificate is issued that will then enable a visa to be obtained. It is important for applicants to indicate if they are an overseas student.
