School Council

Ravenswood is a Uniting Church School

The Ravenswood School Council provides the governance for the school and guardianship for its future. It is appointed by and ultimately responsible to the Uniting Church in Australia (NSW Synod).

Council members bring expertise from business, law, technology, architecture, human resources, finance, the Church, and also their roles as parents and past students. They give generously of their time, knowledge and wisdom in support of the school and the Principal.

The Council acts as the governing body in all matters to do with the proper and efficient management of the school.

In consultation with the Principal its role is to:
  • establish, evaluate and uphold the mission, vision and philosophy of the school:
  • develop policies and strategies consistent with these; and
  • protect and enhance the school's financial viability, making provision for the resources necessary to implement the policies and strategies of the school.
In short, the Council provides the context, the structure and the parameters within which the school develops its life.

Choosing a school for your daughter or son is one of the most important decisions and investments parents can make. Ravenswood Council recognises this and provides the following information as an outline of theĀ financial operation of the school.
