Ravenswood is proud of its policy which enables every student who is prepared to make a commitment to competitive sport the opportunity to participate.
Membership of the Association of Heads of Independent Girls Schools Sporting Association and Junior School Heads’ Association of Australia (JSHAA) allows Inter-school and grade competition in a variety of sports. Through our membership with NSW Combined Independent Schools (NSWCIS), talented students are given the opportunity to compete at higher levels.
Leadership opportunities are provided for students across the full range of sports at Ravenswood. School Co-curricular sport is a great way of getting involved in the fun, healthy and active side of school life.
Representative teams in Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics and Gymnastics are selected following trials and school carnivals, and training is provided for invitation and inter-school competitions.
During Terms 1 to 4, Diving, Artistic Gymnastics, Trampolining and Rhythmic Gymnastics are offered. Classes are provided throughout the year to allow girls to participate and explore their abilities in these areas. Students can also be selected to represent Ravenswood in the inter-school competitions.
