Pastoral Care Programmes
Students work through the Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP), developed by The Queensland University of Technology. This research-based programme aims to build resilience, resourcefulness and promote positive mental health in young adolescents.
The programme assists with the development of social skills, self-esteem, confidence and resilience and encourages positive peer relationships, building cohesion within the Year group. The programme also includes the impact of bullying and cyber bullying and discusses responsible decision making and the consequences of choice.
The Rite Journey programme assists students as they begin to make their transition into a respectful and responsible young adult.
The programme, created by South Australia educator Andrew Lines, aims to fill the current void in western culture by providing the necessary teaching and rites of passage required to support the development of young women.
Ravenswood was the first girls’ school in Australia to run The Rite Journey programme and work with students towards a greater self-understanding, appreciation and connection.
