Congratulations to the Ravenswood 2016 IB students for their excellent results. 21% achieved an ATAR of 99.00+, 54% achieved an ATAR of 94+ and 75% achieved an ATAR of 90+

Some 24 students undertook the IB Diploma Programme this year with 29% of students achieving a score of 40 or above which converts to an ATAR of 98.30 or more. Two students scored 43 points out of a possible 45 points, which equates to an ATAR of 99.70. Only 2% of all the IB students across the world achieve a score of 43 or above.

"I am delighted by the outstanding results achieved by our 2016 IB cohort. Our students’ dedication and inspirational work has paid off and they should be justly proud of their tremendous achievements," said Mrs Anne Johnstone, Ravenswood Principal. "The results highlight the high standards of the IB Programme at Ravenswood."

  • 75% of our 2016 IB cohort achieved nominal ATAR scores above 90

  • 54% achieved nominal ATAR scores above 94

  • 21% achieved nominal ATAR scores above 99

  • The average total score obtained by Ravenswood students was 35.08 compared with the November 2016 worldwide average of 29.21 (IB Statistical Bulletin, May 2016).

All Ravenswood IB students graduated with an IB Diploma, except for one student who deferred until the May 2017 Session owing to illness. This is a significant achievement, given Ravenswood’s non-selective approach to IB, which supports students of varying academic abilities to complete the IB Diploma Programme and achieve their highest personal goals.

Ravenswood extends its congratulations to all the graduating students, their teachers and parents on these great results.
