Ravenswood went a shade of red as the school celebrated ‘Big Red Day’ in the lead-up to the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal on Sunday 28 May.

The event was organised by Ravenswood’s Year 11 students and included a visit from the Salvation Army mascot ‘Big Red’, Member for Ku-ring-gai and Parliamentary Secretary for Finance, Services and Property, Alistair Henskens and Channel 9 Reporter and personality, Jayne Azzopardi.

‘Ravenswood is a big supporter of the Salvation Army and its Red Shield Appeal,’ said Ravenswood Principal, Mrs Anne Johnstone. ‘We are privileged to be a designated counting house on Sunday 28 May and around 45 of our Year 11 students have signed up to help raise money for the cause’.
