The National Mythology Examination is a worldwide competition run since 1989 by the American Classical League, and approximately 10,000 students from over 400 schools participate.

The examination is held in February each year and is open to students in Years 5-6, and Latin students in Years 7-10. Questions are multiple choice and set on topics from Greek and Roman mythology.

Ravenswood students have achieved considerable success over many years in this competition. Enrolment and resource distribution take place in Term 4 of the previous year.
