Community Involvement

Favourite
Year 11 Community Involvement is designed to provide a service to the community in an effort to address genuine needs, whilst at the same time raising awareness of the less fortunate members of our society.

The program is voluntary, with students donating their time to assist different organisations and charities. Some of the charities that the students support are Daffodil Day, Lifeline, Legacy, The Cancer Council, The Red Shield Appeal, The Salvation Army, Wesley Mission and 40 Hour Famine.

Students also help at events at Eryldene Historic house, donate blood at the Chatswood Blood Bank and at Christmas, sing Carols and organise donations of Christmas gifts for the residents of Horton House.

In addition to supporting charities, students visit Sir Eric Woodward School, for children with moderate to severe intellectual disability, physical disability and complex medical conditions. Ravenswood students form a close bond with the students at Sir Eric Woodward, playing musical instruments, singing, reading stories and playing games on their regular visits.
