On Friday 12 June, Detective Chief Superintendent John Kerlatec, Director of Serious Crime spoke to the Years 11 and 12 Legal Studies students on aspects of law that they have studied over the year. For Year 11, this included addressing DNA case studies and the problems associated with DNA. In addition to this, Mr Kerlatec’s presentation was relevant to the Year 12 class, as he discussed changing crime, criminal activity and enforcement within Australia. The insight he provided into the operations of the policing system was extremely valuable to the girls and we thank him for taking the time to come and speak with us.
