2025 Ravenswood School for Girls and Knox Grammar School Student-led Wellbeing Conference

Established in 2021, the fifth annual Ravenswood School for Girls and Knox Grammar Student-Led Wellbeing Conference, held at Ravenswood for the second consecutive year, was an inspiring and transformative day of learning and connection.

The 2025 theme was: ‘Mental Toughness – The Power of Growth,’ which brought together student leaders from schools across New South Wales to explore strategies that build resilience, self-awareness, and purpose. This unique student-led event empowers young people to take ownership of their wellbeing through actions grounded in Positive Education and the science of human flourishing.

This year’s conference featured an unforgettable keynote address from the remarkable Michael Crossland. In his talk, ‘The Power of Perspective,’ he encouraged students to reframe challenges and adopt a mindset that growth is always possible even in the face of adversity. We were also honored to host a Professional Learning Stream for educators, featuring internationally renowned wellbeing researcher Professor Barbara L. Fredrickson, Ph.D. Her insights into positive emotions and resilience provided invaluable guidance for fostering wellbeing within school communities.

With student-led workshops, interactive panels, and meaningful conversations, the day was a celebration of courage, collaboration, and empowerment, creating a ripple effect that will continue to inspire.
