As a Uniting Church School, Ravenswood’s Christian faith and commitment to gospel values underpins all aspects of school life. Ravenswood draws from its Christian heritage an approach to life and education that encompasses essential elements such as self-giving, love, hope for the future, dignity for all and fearless grace.
Together with the School’s Guiding Principles of Excellence, Respect, Optimism, Courage and Compassion, this approach forms the foundation of the School’s ethos and values.
Opportunities to explore the Christian tradition and its contemporary relevance include weekly chapel services led by the School Chaplain and students, Religious Education classes, weekly CRU fellowship groups, special events and visits by guest speakers and artists. Through these activities, students can explore what it means to be a spiritually aware and growing person who understands and appreciates the Christian faith.
Crusaders (CRU)
Ravenswood seeks to support all students in their journey of faith and spirituality. Junior CRU, our lunchtime Christian fellowship group, meets weekly, as does its Senior School counterpart.
Junior CRU is a space where students can learn about faith while supporting and encouraging each other in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.
