Scholarships and Bursaries

Generous donations continue to make a profound difference in the area of scholarships at Ravenswood.

Through the Ravenswood School for Girls Scholarship Fund, we have been able to provide life-changing scholarships and bursaries to students who otherwise may not be able to afford a Ravenswood education.

Contributions to the Ravenswood School for Girls Scholarship Fund directly contribute to empowering bright minds, fostering inclusivity and promoting educational equity. These scholarships open doors for students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.

Ravenswood offers a number of scholarships each year to current and new Ravenswood students, covering both full and part tuition, including Academic, Music, All-rounder, Alumni and Ravenswood Residential College (Boarding) Scholarships.

In giving to Ravenswood, you are not only building on the legacy of parents, students, Alumni and friends who have given for more than a century, you are furthering the Ravenswood tradition of philanthropy for the future.

Scholarship Student Testimonials

Academic Scholarship

‘If I hadn’t received my scholarship, I think that I would be a completely different person. I don’t think that I would have the confidence to pursue my dreams.’
Sydney Bao (School Captain 2023, HSC 2023 Dux, Academic Scholarship recipient)

Music Scholarship

‘Receiving the scholarship was a completely overwhelming experience. It allowed me to continue on with my music career. If I had not received it, I don’t think this would have been possible for me. There are so many opportunities here that I have been given, such as performing on stage at some incredible places like the Sydney Town Hall.’
Madeleine Aarons (2019, Queensland Conservatorium graduate, Music Scholarship recipient)

Ravenswood Alumni Scholarship

‘Ravenswood has always been a special part of my family and the scholarship made me feel and continues to make me feel more connected to the Ravenswood community. Not only did the scholarship support my family financially but it opened doors for me in university and beyond with regards to leadership opportunities and professional experiences.’
Natalie Leijer (2017, economist at Deloitte Access Economics)

The Kim Buchan All-rounder Scholarship

‘The scholarship, as well as attending Ravenswood, encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and dive into my courage zone.’
Jasmine Eatough (School Vice Captain 2019, All-Rounder Scholarship recipient)

Rural Residential Scholarship

‘Coming from a small rural town, receiving the Rural Residential Scholarship and becoming a Ravenswood boarder has given me so many opportunities, like meeting new people, being able to see more of the world and do a range of different sports.’
Matilda Stuckey (2023, Boarder)
