Our Career Pathways Program aims to inform students about available options while encouraging them to discover their strengths, personal style and interests, thus better preparing them for the challenges of tertiary education and the world of work.
Ravenswood employs a dedicated Career Counsellor who initiates innovative career programs and activities, supporting students in making decisions about their future beyond school.
We also offer several programs to foster students’ self-discovery and facilitate their career planning.
In Year 10, students undergo Comprehensive Career Assessments and interviews and participate in Year 10 ‘Imagine’, exploring career avenues through workshops and a visit to a Sydney-based university. They also take part in our Careers Experience Day, and gain further valuable insights from consultation sessions and weekly newsletters.
The Year 10 Careers Experience Day is a unique program that aims to enhance students’ understanding of various careers and pathways while breaking down barriers to career choices. Students are privileged to visit two organisations in a single day, allowing them greater real-life exposure to potential future endeavours.
Our Careers Week offers engaging workshops, with representatives from various universities, international study providers and employers offering valuable insights into various career paths and further education opportunities.
At the annual Alumni Careers Networking Evening, Alumni engage and inspire senior students, who enjoy the opportunity to talk to women working in a diverse range of industries.
These programs empower our students to explore their interests, discover their strengths and confidently navigate their future career paths.
