Ravenswood Officially One of Australia’s Best Schools

The Educator magazine has named Ravenswood School for Girls one of its 5-Star Best Schools for 2025.

In the first-ever running of the Award, The Educator has spotlighted Australia’s most forward-thinking and impactful schools that redefine excellence in education. The inaugural initiative celebrates schools that demonstrate outstanding performance and innovation across student learning, co-curricular programs, comprehensive student support, technology in learning, holistic student development, and impactful wellbeing initiatives.

At the forefront of Ravenswood’s recognition as a 5-Star Best School is its pioneering approach to Positive Education and wellbeing. The continuation and underlining of philosophy remains a steadfast testament to the School’s commitment to the wellbeing of students, staff, Alumni and the broader Ravenswood community. This month saw the expansion of the highly successful Ravenswood Knox Student-Led Wellbeing Conference to middle school years. The Years 7-9 Ravenswood Knox Student-Led Wellbeing Conference extended opportunities for students in Year 9 to deepen their engagement with Positive Education through authentic leadership opportunities and peer-to-peer teaching and collaboration with Years 7-8 students.

Ravenswood was also recognised for diversity and inclusion, forward-thinking professional learning programs for staff delivered through the award-winning Ravenswood Institute, world-class facilities and the expansive co-curricular program.

Our Positive Education program, balanced with rigorous academic and co-curricular opportunities, prepares our young people to develop the courage, resilience and commitment to go out into the world and make a positive difference,’ says Ms Guy.

Their forward-thinking approach and dedication to comprehensive student growth are evident through innovative extracurricular offerings, advanced technology integration, and a strong focus on wellbeing initiatives.’

Ravenswood has been awarded multiple recent honours, including being named on The Educator’s 5-Star Innovative School list in six of the last seven years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024). The School has also received Excellence Awards in The Educator’s Australian Education Awards for Best Student Wellbeing Program in 2025 (as well as in 2021, 2022, 2024), Boarding School of the Year 2025 (as well as in 2022 and 2024), and for Best Professional Learning Program in 2025. Ravenswood also won Best Use of Technology Award at the 2024 Australian Education Awards.
