Ravenswood School for Girls receives two Excellence Awards from The Educator, as part of the 2026 Australian Education Awards.

The School’s industry-leading Positive Education framework and Wellbeing Program sees Ravenswood achieve its fifth Excellence Award for Best Student Wellbeing Program in six years (also in 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025); and the Ravenswood Residential College (RRC) has been awarded its fourth Excellence Award in five years for Boarding School of the Year (also in 2022, 2024 and 2025).

Ravenswood was praised for its Positive Education and Wellbeing program, most particularly for its holistic, research-informed approach and for equipping students with a valuable toolkit to build resilience, emotional literacy and growth-mindset skills. The School was commended for its innovative Years 7–9 Student-Led Wellbeing Conference, which is co-designed with Knox Grammar School, and which provides authentic student leadership and peer-to-peer learning opportunities for younger Senior School students. Ravenswood’s highly successful Years 10-12 Student-Led Wellbeing Conference is already well established and now in its sixth year, attracting hundreds of delegates from across NSW.

The Ravenswood Residential College was commended by The Educator for empowering every Boarder to flourish academically, socially and personally. Ravenswood’s Boaders frequently achieve ATARs above 99 and secure prestigious tertiary offers. The Residential College offers a boutique experience with a welcoming atmosphere. Holistic wellbeing programs, strong family communication and a culture of inclusion all contribute to building a strong sense of safety and belonging; a place where students are supported to thrive.

Ravenswood Principal Mrs Sue Floro welcomed the recognition, saying, ‘These Awards are a testament to the tangible impact of our Positive Education approach, within and beyond the classroom, and our commitment to ensuring that Ravenswood is a place where every girl belongs.  These awards recognise every member of our vibrant Ravenswood community, including our dedicated staff who are deeply committed to the girls in our care, and our parents who are so supportive of our programs. We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our sustained commitment to supporting young people to flourish in all aspects of their lives.’

The winners of the Australian Educations Awards will be announced on Friday 7 August 2026.
