Ravenswood School for Girls is currently in Stage 1 of building a new, world-class Wellbeing and Sports Centre (The Anne Johnstone Wellbeing and Sports Centre), advancing the Ravenswood Masterplan for teaching and learning environments.
Designed by award-winning architectural firm Architectus, the Wellbeing and Sports Centre will be an important visible expression of the School’s multi-award-winning Positive Education program and philosophy.
The Centre will offer state-of-the-art wellbeing spaces and sporting facilities, including a great hall and gymnasium; basketball, netball and roof-top tennis courts; a new strength and conditioning centre; and an expansive foyer to showcase the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize and other community events.
Stage 1 commenced in December 2024 by award-winning construction firm Taylor Construction Group and is expected to be ready for occupation in October 2026. Access will be available to the expansive foyer and the state-of-the-art wellbeing spaces as well the internal sporting facilities, including, the great hall, and the strength and conditioning centre.
Stage 2 has been approved to commence directly after stage 1 concludes with occupation scheduled for November 2027. The roof-top courts, additional student wellbeing and learning spaces, and the 180 seat theatrette will become available.
