Ravenswood Old Girls' Union (ROGU) was established in 1908 by founding Principal, Mabel Fidler. Over summer 2017-18, we undertook a comprehensive survey of our alumni whereby 77% of respondents agreed to contemporising how we are known. Accepted at our AGM in March 2018, we moved towards a more inclusive name to reflect the diversity of our community, and so we are now known as Ravenswood Alumni. Ravenswood Alumni is a network of past students and membership is open to all alumni locally, nationally and internationally.

Ravenswood Alumni are a remarkable group of women formed over the past 100 years. We are proud of our Alumni, who have been active in all walks of life and varied occupations including business, law, medicine, health services, charity, sport, academia (including a Rhodes Scholar) adventure, performing arts, arts, media and the essential role of mother and care giver. Ravenswood Alumni provides a vital connection between past students and the school, and encourages continued friendships and involvement in the Ravenswood community. The President of Ravenswood Alumni is appointed biennially. Lisa Boyce (Clancy, 1990) is the current President.

The association offers:

  • fellowship within the Ravenswood community, past and present
  • the opportunity to renew and continue friendships
  • social events
  • avenues to continue supporting Ravenswood now and in the future
  • an annual ROGU Scholarship in Years 11 and 12, for a daughter, granddaughter or great granddaughter of a Ravenswood Alumni.
