​Exhibition of Nationally Recognised Art

The Ravenswood community is invited to view an exhibition of artwork by the winners of the 2017 Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize (RAWP) in the Centenary Foyer until 23 February. The humorous works by the RAWP Professional Artist's Prize winner, Joan Ross navigate the important subject of colonisation using a fluorescent yellow motif. The exhibition includes her work 'Oh History You Lied to Me' which won the 2017 Sulman Prize and was hung in the Art Gallery of NSW. The works by the winner of the RAWP Emerging Artist's Prize, Katrina Collins is rich with jewel-toned colour and vibrancy. Both artists will deliver educational talks to students from Years 7 to 12 as part of the exhibition, providing valuable insight into their work and process.

Entries for the 2018 Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize open on 1 February and close on 17 April 2018. More details can be found at:
