Six Ravenswood students in Years 10–11 made their debut at the Macquarie University FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) from 8–10 July. They built their robot from scratch and programed it to carry out a set of actions designed to defend goals and collect points. The girls held their own as rookies against some well-seasoned robot competitors. FRC is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in Technology, Science, Engineering and Mathematics along with problem-solving, communication, strategy and teamwork. A wonderful team effort.
