Year 5 students got a taste of the exacting field of crime scene investigation when they became forensic detectives for a day. In teams they tested suspects’ blood and DNA, took mental notes and analysed clues, being careful not to contaminate their samples. It was a fantastic example of engaging learning that honed the girls’ abilities to focus their attention and collaborate.
