Positive psychology researcher, Michelle McQuaid is conducting a series of intensive wellbeing sessions with girls in Years 11 and 12 to give them strategies
to thrive in their lives post-school.
Michelle is a best-selling author and workplace wellbeing teacher with a passion for empowering women and more than a decade of senior leadership
experience with large international organisations. In her first Ravenswood workshop titled Bridging the Confidence Gap, she addressed adolescent
insecurity and ways to build courage and self-esteem.
Michelle led the students in activities designed to help them reflect on their responses to negative feelings like anger and self-doubt. She says
confidence is more important for workplace success than competence or friendliness and implored the girls to prioritise the development of a strong
sense of self.
