Five Ravenswood Year 9 students will represent NSW at the Australian National Gymnastics Championships after winning the Open Group Ribbon Category at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Senior State Championships. Close friends Ella, Olivia, Anya, Sneha and Amy have been training hard together for the last five years.

Meanwhile, Ella successfully defended her State Champion title for the fourth year in a row at the same event by being named Level 7 Open State Champion.

Ella placed first in Rope and Hoop, second in Ribbon and third in Clubs and will go on to compete at an individual level at the Australian National Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne in May/June 2016.

‘Ella devotes twelve to fifteen hours a week to gymnastics,’ says her mum Rachael. ‘Her participation at the Ravenswood Rhythmic Gymnastics Centre has made her a more organised and well-rounded person.’
