Students in Ravenswood’s TED-Ed Club have been collaborating on speech topics via Skype with their South Korean peers … in Korean. The video conference was staged in association with TED-Ed leaders in Washington State and Ottowa, Canada to allow the students to share topic ideas and advice. Language was a barrier until a Year 9 Ravenswood student stepped in to translate, ensuring the creativity and ideas could flow. The students’ subject choices include approaches to learning and feminism.
