Four Ravenswood IB Diploma students have achieved scores of 44 (ATAR range of 99.30 to 99.60), placing them within the top 3% of IB Diploma students globally. Furthermore, six students achieved a score of 43 out of 45, equating to an ATAR range of 98.75 to 99.15. Overall, 39% of our students achieved a score of 40 or above, placing them in an ATAR range of 96.05 to 99.60.
Further details of Ravenswood’s outstanding 2024 IB Diploma performance include:
- Four students achieved a score of 44 out of 45, an ATAR range of 99.30 to 99.60;
- Four students achieved a score of 43 out of 45. These results equate to an ATAR range of 98.75 to 99.15;
- In total, 39% of the IB cohort (21 students) achieved a score of 40 or above, equating to an ATAR of 96.05 or above;
- Our Ravenswood median IB Diploma score was 38, which equates to an ATAR range of 93.95 to 94.80;
- 70% of the IB cohort (38 students) achieved a Grade 7 (maximum grade) in one subject or more;
- 33% of the IB cohort (18 students) achieved an A grade (maximum grade) in either Theory of Knowledge (TOK) or Extended Essay (EE);
- This year, seven students achieved an IB Bilingual Diploma, having studied all of their non-language subjects in a second language – an immense achievement and the highest number of students to accomplish this since the Bilingual Diploma was introduced;
- Every Ravenswood IB Diploma student in the November 2024 session successfully achieved their Diploma, with scores well above the IB credentialing score of 24;
- The Class of 2024 IB Diploma students have received national and international university offers, including to UCL, King’s College London, The University of Edinburgh and Cornell University (an Ivy League school).
The IB offers an Enquiry Upon Results (EUR) opportunity for students who wish to have their marks reassessed. As a school that proudly offers a choice of academic pathways between the HSC and the IB, the complete picture of our 2024 academic performance will not be known until the EUR process is complete in early 2025. Ravenswood will publish a report showcasing these combined results – including the Class of 2024 final combined median IB Diploma and HSC ATAR – in the near future.
